HANJI TREE

From an early age, Eunah Lee has had a natural love for both math and art. While earning her Accounting degree, she also studied art in her spare time to develop her drawing and painting skills.

While working as a financial accountant in Seoul, she received her Hanji Craft Certificate and became a member of the Korean Hanji Artist Association. Over the years, she learned from three Hanji masters in Korea, developing diverse techniques in painting, crafting, and dyeing.

Even with her financial background, Eunah has continued to pursue her passion for Hanji art:

“I enjoy math and art every day. Math is about breaking things down to find solutions, while designing my piece is about building up. Being good with numbers helps a lot when creating three-dimensional works — I use mathematical precision to shape the structure of my crafts and measure Hanji for layering.”

Now based in Brea, California, Eunah works as both a Hanji crafter and pet portrait artist.
Her works have been exhibited at various art shows, and she regularly offers Hanji workshops to share her love for Korean paper art.
Through her creations, Eunah strives to bring harmony through the interplay of colors, lines, and forms — hoping her art inspires optimism and warmth through the natural beauty of Hanji.
